About This Lee County Resource

Lee County records sit in several systems, and a current jail entry does not answer every question about an arrest. The Lee County Sheriff's Office publishes a current inmate list and a seven-day arrest summary, while the Circuit Clerk holds the court trail after booking. This private reference site connects those official paths, FOIA instructions, and state or federal locators without hosting a gallery of booking photos.

A Local Records Reference

Lee County Busted Mugshots is a private reference project, not a public office. The Lee County Jail page identifies the county jail operated by the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 240 East Progress Drive in Dixon. It links a Current Inmate List and a News Media arrest summary for the last seven days. Those documents answer different questions, and neither published PDF displays a booking photograph.

The record trail changes after intake. The Lee County Circuit Clerk and its public court portals hold later case information, including hearings and dispositions. A person sentenced to state custody belongs in the Illinois Department of Corrections search, while federal and immigration custody require different locators. This site maps those handoffs and the county FOIA request path, but it stores no official records or booking photographs.

What the Pages Point Toward

The page set is arranged around the questions a Lee County reader is most likely to have. Each destination remains a pointer to the agency or record holder, not a replacement for that source.

  • The countywide records page brings together the current inmate PDF, the seven-day arrest report, booking-record fields, the FOIA route, and the custody limits of each source.
  • The Wanted Fugitives page describes the sheriff and court routes for a wanted or warrant question without treating an old arrest entry as proof of an active warrant.
  • Lee County city pages preserve the different local paths for Dixon, Amboy, and Ashton, including the Dixon monthly blotter and Ashton's contracted sheriff service.
  • State, federal, and immigration locators are kept separate from county booking records so that an IDOC, BOP, or ICE result is not mislabeled as a Lee County jail record.

Where This Site Stops

This is an independently operated reference site with no connection to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the Lee County Jail, the Illinois Department of Corrections, or any other government agency. It cannot change an agency record or speak for the office that created it.

  • It cannot release, hold, transfer, or otherwise manage a person in custody.
  • It cannot post bond, schedule a jail visit, arrange a call, or send money on a reader's behalf.
  • It cannot give legal advice or decide whether a record qualifies for sealing or expungement.
  • It cannot promise that a phone number, fee, address, roster update, or portal result is current.

Only the originating sheriff, jail, court, or corrections agency can confirm custody, charges, release, or the status of an official record. A booking entry is an accusation, and a charge may later be reduced, dismissed, sealed, expunged, or otherwise resolved.

Search Partners

Some search boxes on the project are supplied by third-party providers. Those providers set their own pricing, terms, data practices, and result limits. When a visitor follows a partner tool to a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee that helps support the reference pages. A referral does not make the partner an official Lee County source, and it does not give this site control over the partner's results.
